The challenge

One of the biggest challenges in the sector is implementing edtech at scale, so better learning outcomes can be delivered for all children, especially the most marginalised.

AI adds complexity to that challenge. Without careful design and deployment, AI will widen the learning divide instead of narrowing it.

Our approach

We approach these challenges through systemic experimentation in real environments, testing with governments and implementers and innovating across policy and financing, to build conditions that allow evidence-based solutions to scale equitably.

How we work in education

Evidence that survives contact with reality

Solutions must work in constrained policy environments, unreliable infrastructure, and cash-strapped education systems.
We work with teams to test and adapt interventions in real-world education settings, generating evidence so implementers scale what works.

A brilliant solution can still fail if the policy environment blocks it, if teachers can’t adopt it, or the business model doesn’t stack up.
We innovate across the entire enabling environment, including policy reform, financing models and distribution channels, because sometimes the breakthrough isn’t the technology at all.

Behavioural Innovation

Behaviour-led design for real-world complexity

Many programmes falter because they chase perfect models, not messy reality. While projects built on tidy systems may impress on paper, they soon fade when they hit the real world.

Behavioural Innovation combines the behavioural sciences with innovation methodologies, equipping teams to navigate human quirks and unstable systems so they can turn unpredictability into opportunity. Instead of sticking to fixed playbooks, we prototype fast, learn in the field, and refine repeatedly.
